The Sheboygan Interact Clubs are international service organizations, sponsored by the Sheboygan Rotary Club, that give high school students the chance to make a real difference while having fun. Every Interact club carries out at least two service projects a year: one helps their school or community and one promotes international understanding. Members can connect with community leaders, develop leadership skills, and make international connections. A number of students have participated in the World Affairs International Seminar and a few in Rotary Youth Exchange programs.
Locally these clubs have participated in the Broughton Drive Cleanup, Survey Says (winning in 2015!), Summer Lunch Program, Senior Picnic, Love Bowls, Children's Museum Easter Egg Hunt/ Drop, Making Spirits Bright and the Lobster Boil. Fundraising has included selling Candy Grams, scarves (to support Jhoole, an organization benefitting artisans in India), and winter hats. And they've supported the What If? Foundation, providing meals and education to children in Haiti; Shelter Boxes, providing shelter and basic living supplies to those affected by the earthquake in Nepal; and support to an orphanage in Africa.
