Rotary Clubs’ Making Spirits Bright Program Seeks Volunteer Support for 2017 Show

SHEBOYGAN, WI – September 12, 2017 – The Making Spirits Bright Steering Committee is looking for businesses and organizations to volunteer their time to assist with setting up and taking down the holiday lights show presented in Evergreen Park during the holiday season.  Making Spirits Bright needs teams of 10-20 individuals to work on the weekends leading up to the holiday event to help with the installation of the many temporary light displays that populate the park.  A similar effort will be required of teams to assist with dismantling the displays in January.

The volunteer teams will perform scheduled activities that can be tailored to a group’s abilities.  Activities may include lifting, assembling, or providing light electrical work. Volunteer teams should provide a Team Leader who will receive direction from the Making Spirits Bright design team.  Teams are needed to begin the set-up process on weekends in October and January 1 and January 6-7 to take down the event displays.  All participating teams will receive mention in the published event booklet and a small stipend for any nonprofit participants.  For profit organizations may designate a charity for receipt of their stipend.

Making Spirits Bright is presented annually to the community at no charge by the Rotary Clubs of Sheboygan County and other dedicated volunteers.   To learn more about Making Spirits Bright, visit and to volunteer to set up and take down displays, contact Eric at
