Making Spirits Bright Event Invites Sponsors to Support 2017 Effort
2016 event collected more than 76,000 pounds of food items, provided donations to 39 entities in Sheboygan County, presented by Sheboygan County Rotary Clubs
SHEBOYGAN, WI—April 3, 2017 — The organizers of the Making Spirits Bright lights show are already active planning for the 2017 holiday event and are soliciting sponsors and advertisers to support this year’s efforts. Sponsorship opportunities are available at many levels from $10,000 to $500 and include a variety of high value benefits, including logo and name recognition in all promotions within the park and all external communication efforts. In addition to sponsorships, individuals and organizations may place advertising in the event’s multipage booklet, offered free of charge to each visitor, as well as in-kind donations of goods and services. Sponsorships and donations to Making Spirits Bright, Inc., a 501(c) (3) organization, are tax-deductible.
Making Spirits Bright is a drive-through holiday lights show presented annually in Evergreen Park by the Sheboygan county Rotary Clubs. The organization’s goals are two-fold: to provide a unique holiday activity in the Sheboygan community and to gather much needed food pantry items. Visitors attending this free event are encouraged to make a food pantry donation as they drive through the park enjoying the sights and sounds of the holidays. These pantry items are then delivered nightly to the Sheboygan County Food Bank. In its fifth year in 2016, Making Spirits Bright was able to make a record donation of 76,332 pounds of collected pantry items to the Food Bank.
The event continues to grow annually, with more than 21,000 vehicles entering the park in 2016 and over 1,500 volunteers from area businesses, churches and organizations assisting in all aspects of organizing and producing this holiday tradition. Making Spirits Bright is truly a product of the efforts of the Sheboygan community for the benefit of the Sheboygan community.
The 2017 holiday lights show will run from the Friday after Thanksgiving through December 31, 2017. The event requires year-round planning and community support to create the lighted displays and pay for the electrical needs of the event.
